Jack S. Piermont
Senior Partner
Jack S. Piermont is a senior partner at Lerner, Piermont, Riverol & Lawlor, P.A. Admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1973 and also licensed in New York, he is a former JAG officer who has tried civil injury, workers' compensation, and criminal matters in Municipal and Superior Court, and has served as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and the Superior Court of New Jersey. He was recently named Workers' Compensation Practitioner of the Year by the Hudson County Bar Association.
Rene Riverol
Partner
Rene Riverol is a partner at Lerner, Piermont, Riverol & Lawlor, P.A., handling personal injury and workers' compensation cases from intake through trial. He obtained a $2.4 million settlement for a mother and daughter injured in a truck collision, and in 2017 received the first-ever Workers' Compensation Lawyer of the Year Award from the Hudson County Bar Association. He is fluent in Spanish and a dedicated advocate for the Hispanic community in Jersey City.
Matthew L. Lawlor

Matthew L. Lawlor is a partner at Lerner, Piermont, Riverol & Lawlor, P.A., appearing regularly in both Superior and Workers' Compensation Courts across New Jersey. Before joining the firm he was a law clerk and associate for a national defense firm with broad general liability experience, and he has obtained favorable outcomes for clients through both trial verdicts and settlements.

Founder (Retired)
Frank Lerner founded the firm and is a gifted trial lawyer who tried hundreds of cases in U.S. Federal District Court, New Jersey Superior Court, and the New Jersey Division of Workers' Compensation Court. He is now retired; his name remains at the top of the firm in his honor.
