He then earned his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law , where he was named Outstanding Mock Trial Advocate of his graduating class, the most decorated advocate in the school’s history. He was inducted into the National Order of the Barristers and the Lumpkin Inn of Court, and won both the Ralph J. Beaird Closing Argument Competition and the Talmadge Moot Court Competition. He competed on both the National Mock Trial and National Moot Court teams. He continues to give back each year by coaching UGA law students in mock trial and moot court, and serves on the UGA Law Alumni Council .
